We have one mission here, and it’s pretty simple: help investors find more deals online. We do that a number of ways (PPC campaign management, SEO, coaching, etc.), depending on the client’s budget, goals, and where they want to invest. And all in all, we’ve helped a lot of investors increase leads, set up new marketing channels for their business (besides mailers), and land more deals.

But we’re not just proud of the work we do. We’re proud of how we do it.

Responding to Negative Reviews

We’re not sure we’ve ever seen another company in our space be blunt and honest about negative reviews, but then again, we’re not like every other company in our space.

After all, every book, product, service, and company, gets negative reviews, even if it’s just a few. We’re no exception. For example, at the time of this writing, and we have a 4.8/5 rating on Facebook, which is pretty good if you ask us. But that means that a few people were unhappy, and we’re well aware that it can be the negative reviews that stick out the most. If most of us read 20 positive reviews, and 3 negatives, it’s the 3 negatives that we’re concerned about, right?

So If you’re shopping for a marketing company to work with, and are considering us, you may have come across a few bad reviews, and had some concerns, and we want to deal with that here.

1 – We aim to respond to every negative review.

In fact, most (or all) of our responses to negative reviews come straight from our Founder and CEO, Dan Barrett. We don’t like when clients don’t get results, or leave unhappy, and we strive to deal with that. So if you do come across a negative review, the first thing to do is look for a response from us. We often give more context to the situation, so you can read that we tried to rectify the situation, or weren’t aware they were upset, etc.

2 – The backstory is important.

Some negative reviews are caused by people who didn’t get what they thought they should, even though we were clear with them. Think of your favorite restaurant. You could have the exact same meal as another customer, but they leave dissatisfied, while you leave happy. How can that be? It’s often because they had different expectations, came in with a different mindset, or any other number of factors. It’s the same with what we do. That’s why we work at vetting clients to make sure they’re a good fit. We’ve always been careful not to promise results, and have even turned clients away if they’re not a good fit. During the end of our Kickstarts, our teams give honest evaluations and suggestions on how you should move forward. We’ve straight up told clients, “if your budget is tight, here are some things you can do yourself instead of moving to monthly management with us.”

Do we want more clients? Of course! But not at the expense of what’s best for you. All that to say: mindset and expectations is everything. We’re clear with all clients that we cannot promise results (it’s virtually impossible to in our space, due to market changes, search trends, algorithm updates, etc.), and try to recommend the right service to fit with their budget and situation. Can’t survive without a lead for the next 6-12 months? Investing in SEO probably isn’t for you. Want to do PPC in a difficult market? Your average cost per lead will probably be high, so prepare for that. So sometimes, despite very clear communication, some clients come in acknowledging one thing, while expecting another and end up disappointed.

3 – Have a concern about a review? Ask us!

If you’ve read something your concerned about, we encourage you to bring it to our attention. We’ll be happy to answer any concerns or questions you have, or provide more context if we’re able.

4 – We want you to walk away with value.

Our goal is that everyone who walks away from one of our programs, be it coaching, PPC, or SEO, walks away feeling like they got good value for what they paid for. At the end of the day, we’re not happy if you’re not. Our team takes client complaints very seriously, and we’re literally always working on improving our programs, and getting better every month to deliver better results. We know that we’re the best company there is in this industry, but that doesn’t mean we don’t strive to improve. We’ve always said we can’t gaurantee results (if we could, we’d be billionares and writing this from a beach somewhere), but what we do say is this:

If you want to:

  • identify online marketing channels to find motivated sellers;
  • have a system created to sustainably use that channel to increase leads;
  • and walk away with a system you can have us manage, or bring in-house and manage yourself;

Then we’re the best in the industry.
